On September 27, 2023 LPA’s Academic A-Team competed at the Brain Bowl competition held at Indian River State College. The team's solid performance showcased their knowledge and teamwork skills, continuing LPA’s reputation of academic excellence.
The Brain Bowl competition features tough questions spanning various academic subjects such as the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and mathematics. Teams came from schools across the Treasure Coast, including college students from IRSC.
In the end, after three rounds of competition, LPA came in 3rd place out of eight teams, even beating a team of college students!
Congratulations to everyone that competed: Laura Vuong, Ashir Idrees, Chantol Tabana, Kaliyana Limear, Nachbi Pierre, Daniel Dawkins, and Haseeb Rashid.
In the future, the Academic A-Team plans to compete in more competitions, hopefully holding mock competitions and then eventually competing in the district-wide Commissioner's Academic Challenge sometime in the new year.
