Girls Basketball Team Makes it to District Tournament

The Lady Greyhounds varsity basketball team had their season cut short after a narrow defeat to the Rockledge Raiders.

Despite putting up a valiant effort, the Greyhounds fell just short with a final score of 43-42, bringing their journey to districts to an unfortunate end.


The game started off strong for Lincoln Park, as they led the first quarter 16-11. Julianna Ball led the way for the Greyhounds, scoring 8 points in the quarter. The team's early success gave fans hope that they would be able to continue their momentum and secure a win.


However, the Raiders quickly closed the gap and the game remained tightly contested throughout. Olivia Titherington and Ta’Tyannah Thompson each contributed 12 points for the Greyhounds, but it wasn't enough to secure the victory.


Despite the loss, the Lady Greyhounds should be proud of their efforts throughout the season. They showed great skill, teamwork, and perseverance in their journey to districts. The team's hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed by fans and supporters.


As the season comes to an end, the Lady Greyhounds can hold their heads high knowing that they gave it their all. Their commitment to the sport and their team has set an example for future players, and they will be remembered for their hard work and dedication.

Although the defeat from the Rockledge Raiders may sting for a while, the Lady Greyhounds can look back on the season with pride, knowing that they gave it their all and represented their school with the utmost honor and sportsmanship.
