High School Holds a Homecoming Pep Rally

On December 1, 2023, high school students attended and participated in various games and class day competitions in order to celebrate Homecoming.

Seniors trying to defend their spirit stick by being the loudest grade.

This was a high energy and highly competitive event as all the high school grades, as well as teachers, competed against each other in a series of games and competitions. The events consisted of Around the World Basketball Knockout, Triva Contest, Relay Race Limbo, Musical Chairs, and ended with a Dodgeball Game. Every grade gave their best to try and win these events. The winners of each event even got to compete against staff members such as Mr. Cobb and Dr. Herrington in Musical Chairs, and Mr. Sullivan and Ms. Montgomery in Around the World Basketball.

After all events were done and all the points were tallied, it was the Sophomores in 1st place and Seniors in 2nd place. However, it came down to one final competition, the Spirit Award. Every grade was instructed to cheer as loud as possible. After some high energy crowds, it was decided the Seniors were the loudest, and they were awarded the Spirit Stick, a title they won earlier this year and proudly defended. There will be one more pep rally in the spring so it remains to be seen if the Seniors can stay undefeated. Overall, this was a very entertaining event that got students excited for the Homecoming dance that took place the next day.
