On November 16, 2023, LPA’s National Spanish Honor Society held an Induction Ceremony. Led by their President Briggett Perez and Jaimy Ponceti, the club prepared a ceremony where parents could come and hear the message that the National Spanish Honor Society upholds. “The National Spanish Honor Society recognizes and promotes academic excellence, cultural awareness, and community service among high school students studying Spanish,” Brigett Perez explained in her speech. Near the end, each member walked towards the stage and was handed a candle representing the National Spanish Honor Society tradition of the organization's core values, such as scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Finally, all members rose and swore towards the “Latinos Unidos” pledge, officially welcoming them to the Society. A special thanks can be given to Mrs. Torres- Marquez for sponsoring this amazing club.
